LG Cookie Plus GS500 is the LG Cookie Upgrade

Following the success of the original LG Cookie phone (KP500 and KP501) the manufacturer has now released an upgraded version of this hugely popular touch screen phone. The new LG Cookie Plus is also known as the LG GS500 and further expands on the features and technology of the first model, due to be released in a range of colour schemes this new phone looks set for the same stardom found by the previous edition.LG have upgraded the camera from a 2.0 mega pixel lens to a quality 3.0 mega pixels, however the most significant change comes in the phones connectivity options with the addition of 3G support not found in the KP500 and KP501 models. The LG Cookie Plus also offers a slightly difefrent design to its exterior dimensions, the corners have now been rounded off moving away from the squared design of the orignial cookie phone, the LG GS500 also offers a 240 x 400 pixel touch screen display as well as an FM Radio and MP3 player. The new Cookie Plus comes with far more support for social networking, there are pre-loaded applications for Facebook, Twitter and Flickr with home screen shortcuts for quick app launching. This latest LG phone will be entering a market which is continuing to expand almost daily with touch screen phones that provide quick internet access, competitors that are currently available include from the Samsung brand the new Samsung Genio Touch, Samsung Tocco Lite and Samsung C3510 whilst Nokia offer the new Nokia 5230 and slightly better equipped Nokia X6 range.

This is a mid range, budget touch screen phone and with so many people looking closer at what they spend this category of mobile phone is proving extremely popular, LG themselves have recently launched the LG Pop which although slightly more expensive does not demand the higher prices of the top end models.Further competition in this market also comes from the new Vodafone series of touch screen phones, these are called the Vodafone 541 series and come in a range of different colours. This, interestingly will also be a sales point for the LG Cookie Plus, the original LG Cookie was released in over 10 different colour schemes with the white and pink editions proving the most popular, the LG GS500 is also planned for launch in a range of colour variants including Purple, Silver and Black which have been confirmed whilst we are sure there will definitely be a Pink version also available.
